2021 Honda HR-V Review
2021 Honda HR-V in Corner Brook, NL
The Honda HR-V is a solid option for anyone looking for a compact SUV that's capable, athletic, and stylish. This model has a remarkable interior space, making it practical for so many of our customers. It's available with many high-tech entertainment and safety components as well, and on top of all of this, it's pretty efficient.
Though the HR-V is the smallest SUV in our lineup, it beats many of its competitors in terms of interior space. Front-seat riders get to enjoy over 105 cm of legroom, and in the back seat, there is nearly 100 cm of legroom. The rear cargo area is relatively sizable, and it can expand to accommodate more gear by simply lowering the rear seats back down.
Alternatively, you can lift the rear seats to give yourself a more vertically oriented area where you can store taller items. This type of rear seat is called a "Magic Seat." To keep you comfortable, the HR-V is available with heated front seats. Additionally, a power-adjustable driver's seat and leather upholstery are available. Contact us if you'd like to check out the HR-V SUV in person.
Every trim has rear-seat heater ducts, and some have automatic climate control. One of the things that set the HR-V apart from other types of SUVs is its unique style. There are many sleek curves built into this vehicle, which are especially evident when looking at the doors and windows.
The rear door has a cool element, a hidden door handle that's vertical instead of horizontal. All the trims have fin-type antennas mounted on their roofs, rear roofline spoilers, and LED brake lights to add to their sporty appearance. Some get to have fog lights, an exhaust finisher, and under-body spoilers.
The 2021 Honda HR-V is a modern vehicle in many ways. Beyond having a youthful style, it has plenty of advanced components for you to take advantage of. The base trim comes with a five-inch colour LCD screen and Bluetooth. The other trims have seven-inch touchscreens along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Having this smartphone connectivity makes it convenient and much safer to send and receive text messages, make phone calls, and play your favourite songs when you're behind the wheel.
The two more premium trims called the EX and EX-L got further enhanced with SiriusXM, HD Radio, and a 180-watt sound system with six speakers. The EX and EX-L have driver-assist technologies as well. They both have a long list of systems that can watch out for potential hazards when you're travelling. For instance, collision mitigation braking makes it less likely that you'll be involved in a frontal collision, and lane-keeping assist can keep you centred in the right position.
Safety Systems
These two trims also have blind-spot monitoring systems, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control. It's truly amazing how far technology has come and how well Honda has used it to its customers' advantage. Even if you don't get a premium trim of the Honda HR-V, you'll benefit from having a multi-angle rearview camera, stability control, traction control, LED daytime running lights, and brake assist. Brake assist is a program that ensures that you'll have full stopping power when you suddenly hit the brakes. We'd be happy to show you our new Honda inventory and set you up with a test drive.
